Hi everyone and thank you for your prayers. We have really seen a lot of answers to prayer in the last two months. This prayer letter is late because so much has been happening.
The mission team from Singapore worked very hard. They were here for less than a week but they managed to visit schools every day, do evangelism in villages out in the middle of nowhere, and be the first team to visit Rajamonkon. Their bus driver Buu invited them back to his house for dinner - which is very unusual for a Thai employee. That night he became a Christian thanks to their witness throughout this trip and last year's trip. Please pray for Buu though because at the moment he is not meeting with other Christians.
At the beginning of October we moved into a spacious (by Thai standards) apartment at Rajamonkon College where I have my main job. We were able to buy a lot of the small things that you need in a new house from the previous teacher, Patrick, who went back to America.
The trouble with the accident is finally over. We are much wiser now about the whole insurance thing. Actually it is better in Thailand than in Australia because the First Class Insurance pays for everything - even shock compensation for the injured person. In the end Aanon (the motorcyclist) had all his costs paid for (through his and our insurance) 22,000 baat (750 AUD but about 8 months wages for a student) for shock. He still wasn't happy but please praise God because it is all finished and our insurance company really came through for us. The only cost for us was a 400 baat (14 AUD) fine that Aanon also had to pay. It is very obvious to us that the accident was an attack from Satan to distract Air from the mission.
For everyone who has been praying for Dia (the young woman who was banned from coming to Church by her parents and was then forced into an engagement with a Buddhist) we have good news. Her fiancée and his parents have agreed to cancel the engagement if Dia remains single until about half way through next year. The parents appear to have accepted that Dia does not want to marry their son. The reason for the wait is because when Thai Buddhists get engaged the man gives the girl's parents a bride price. If the engagement is cancelled the at-fault party has to pay back or forfeit the bride price. When Air and I married Air refused to have any bride price and since then we have been able to witness to many people because of that.
We have started Christian Culture classes with the English Communication students at Rajamonkon. The reaction from Fourth Year has been excellent - they are extremely interested and ask lots of questions. Not as many Third Years came but they were also very enthusiastic about what they heard. But the Second Years have been very apathetic and there is one girl who came the first week and was very agitated... She is a very outspoken girl who tends to control the rest of her class so we really need you all to pray for her.
I will send more news very soon because there is a lot more to tell but my office is having problems with internet again so that is all for now.

James and Air.
Hi Everyone,
I am very happy because of something.
Can you guess?
Air is pregnant! Now she is about 2 months pregnant which is a certified miracle because in case you don't know I was told that I would almost definitely not be able to have children because of the amount of chemotherapy and other drugs that were given to me. But we believe that God can and will do anything so we have been praying for a child ever since we got married.
Please pray for Air because she is having a lot of morning sickness. And praise God too because yesterday we found out that Air is a carrier for Thallasemia (spelling?) but I don't have it so that means our children won't have it. Thallasemia is very common in Asian people so if Air had married a Thai her children would probably have had Thallasemia. Praise God because He works out every little thing.
Now the big thing to pray for is Hepatitus C. Because we still don't know if my Hep C has transferred to Air. We will know in about a week so please pray for this.
Thankyou to everyone for praying and supporting us. Our God is an enormous God!!!!
James and Air and Ralph - only joking. We will definitely not call the baby Ralph, - or Cuchulain, or Mother Cat or any other Cat name!
