God created the world and all things for us (humankind), and is the world's loving ruler, and our loving Father. He has given us authority over the world under Him, in order that we could bring glory to Him by ruling it His way.
All things were created by God. Humankind was created to live under God's rule in a relationship with Him. Since God is totally just and loving, it would have been a pleasure and a delight to live His way.
And further, God placed humankind at the pinnacle of creation, giving us dominion over all other created things.
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Genesis 1:26)
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being. (Revelation 4:11)
